Small Engine Closed Loop LPG Propane Emission Controls
With a high amount of development time and engineering Peel Electronics designed and manufactures a full closed loop system for small engines, for the reduction of CO levels, Hydrocarbons, CO2 and Nox, also fuel reduction/economy of up to 30-40%.
Upon an issue with CO poisoning in the field the Peel Electronics systems were developed in conjunction with suppliers of products incorporating spark ignition engines and Worksafe.
Peel Electronics was a finalist in a category for new inventions and systems for Safety in the 2018 Worksafe awards process.
We work constructively with Worksafe and Australian Standards committees on Safety, and solutions required by industry under Australian Standard Guidelines.
Our systems are exported and used all over the world. In the USA our system was tested under EPA guidelines at a cost of $50,000USD, our system surpassed the emission standards, and even gained a ‘Blue Sky Pass’ meaning we were below 50% of the emission limits. Also, showed significant power gains over all other models.

Model No: CP301B – Air/Fuel Ratio Controller for Positive Feed
Simple Mixer Ring Type Systems
- The CP301B Fuel Processor offers accurate mixture control under all engine load conditions; this is done via the CP301-V Stepper Motor which controls the Gas flow to the mixer ring, in turn controlling mixtures.
- The processor requires the connection of both the O2(Oxygen Sensor) and TPS(Throttle Position Sensor).
- The unit has an Open Loop at idle function (enriches mixtures at idle). This is adjustable and indicated by the Green Led (‘ON O/Loop’).
- The engines air/fuel mixture is indicated with the Red and Blue Leds.
- The unit recognizes rapid acceleration/high load conditions via the TPS and instantly enriches the engine mixtures eliminating any ‘Lean’ running condition. This is indicated via the Yellow Led (‘R/Rev’).
- The unit is water resistant, however it is recommended to mount the case inside the vehicle cabin.

Available individually for purchase, motor is interchangeable with most Imported Processors.

Positive Feed Stepper Motor Controlled Processor for Simple Mixer Ring Systems –
This Processor can be ‘wired’ in different Variations with a number of features built in. It has been designed to provide a complete electronics package for an LPG Conversion for ‘European’ type systems. It is MicroProcessor Controlled with software modes for all engine load characteristics, this design eliminates the need for re-programming.
However if required the software can be changed to suit different vehicles or specification on request.

-The CP601 Fuel Processor is a closed loop processor requiring O2 and TPS sensor inputs.
-There is an adjustment for a closed loop software ‘mode’ at idle (enriches mixture when accelerating from idle) for CP601 and same adjustment for open loop at idle for CP601N
-The unit incorporates an indicator led (Red) to show when the mixture is Rich and Lean when off.
-A Green Led illuminates when a rapid increase in acceleration detected.
-The CP601 utilises a highly efficient stepper motor to control gas flow, also incorporating a brass adjuster for tuning.
-The Stepper motor operates in such a way as to continually give rapid adjustment of fuel mixtures under varying load conditions. If there is an increase in load sensed via TPS it will operate at a much faster rate to give instant gas flow for high load conditions.
-Processor can be programmed for a specific purpose such as reverse TPS voltage, wider O2 signal band, specific fuelling trims for emission control etc. please enquire.

CP342 Function Controller
The CP342 Function Controller is an upgrade (more features) or replacement for the IMPCO IFC103A.
The CP342 features a dual pattern petrol start allowing for COLD and HOT petrol assist settings.
It also incorporates a ‘crank lock out’ facility in addition to internal relays for injector cut out, fuel pump isolation and fuel gauge interface. This unit is developed to provide Petrol Start Operation on Crank rather than Ignition.
CP201 – Air/Fuel Ratio Controller for American Systems
(To suit Air Valve type systems)
- The CP201 Fuel Processor offers accurate mixture control under all engine load conditions; this is done via the CP201-V Vacuum Valve which controls the operating pressure of the Convertor, in turn controlling fuel mixtures.
- The processor requires the connection of both the O2(Oxygen Sensor) and TPS(Throttle Position Sensor).
- The unit has an Open Loop at idle function (enriches mixtures at idle). This is adjustable and indicated by the Green Led (‘ON O/Loop’), when on Open Loop mode is activated.
- The engines air/fuel mixture is indicated with the Red and Blue Leds, the Red indicates a Rich mixture and Blue a Lean mixture.
- The unit recognizes rapid acceleration/high load conditions via the TPS and instantly enriches the engine mixtures eliminating any ‘Lean’ running condition. This is indicated via the Yellow Led (‘R/Rev’).
- The unit is water resistant, however it is recommended to mount the case inside the vehicle cabin.
CP401 – Microprocessor Controlled Emission Air/Fuel Ratio Controller for American Systems (To suit Air Valve type systems)
- The CP401 Fuel Processor offers extremely accurate mixture control under all engine load conditions.
- The processor requires the connection of both the O2(Oxygen Sensor) and TPS(Throttle Position Sensor).
- This unit has unique ‘software modes’ for different driving applications, sensed via the TPS Signal.
- The ‘modes’ are for idle, acceleration from idle, cruise, acceleration from cruise and deceleration.These software modes enable the vehicles engine to hold an ideal AIR/FUEL Ratio very efficiently. This in turn increases mixture control for drivability, power, fuel efficiency and most of all Clean Burning Emissions (**see notes below**)
- The unit has a specific idle software mode. This is adjustable and indicated by the Yellow Led (‘TPS On at idle’)
- The engines air/fuel mixture is indicated with the Red Led
- The unit recognizes rapid acceleration/high load conditions via the TPS and instantly enriches the engine mixtures eliminating any ‘Lean’ running condition, indicated via the Green Led (‘Accel. On’).
- The unit is water resistant, however it is recommended to mount the case inside the vehicle cabin.
- The processor incorporates a diagnostic function where if a problem is sensed eg. O2 sensor failure, wiring fault, air leak etc. the processor will go into a diagnostic mode and give a set duty cycle. The diagnostic mode will be indicated by the Red/Rich Led ‘blinking’ at a constant rate.
**Notes – This Fuel Processor has been labeled with ’Emission Controller’ as it has passed Euro 2 standards on a variety of vehicles with different types of Air Valve Systems or Negative Feed Systems, also a limited number of vehicles have obtained a Euro 3/4 pass. This processor is highly efficient in holding ‘ideal’ (Stoichometric) Air/Fuel Ratio but requires all other factors to be operating efficiently.**
CP401L (LBL Lean Bias Logic) – Microprocessor Controlled Emission Air/Fuel Ratio Controller for American Systems (To suit Air Valve Type System)
The new Lean Bias Logic (401 GAS) processor for use in automotive LPG systems controls in a completely different manner to the traditional method employed over the past 15 years.
If we consider how mixtures have been controlled in the past, a processor driving a valve (FCV) directs vacuum to the atmospheric port of the converter.
As the open time of the valve is increased (duty cycle) vacuum lifts the converter secondary diaphragm to close the secondary seat, leaning out the mixtures from the base rich setting. The problem with this type of control is that it actually works against the basic operation of the mixer / converter.
CP401L – Lean Bias Logic (LBL)
This system employs a reverse logic processor that drives the FCV. Fuel is added (via the FCV) from the secondary chamber of the converter to the top of the mixer air valve or into the air valve vacuum port (similar to a vacuum power valve VPV).
Instead of employing a RICH bias mixer (FB), the LBL system uses a lean bias mixer (CA), with at least one extra lean shim. The base mixtures are set lean with sufficient fuel added to maintain 15.5 air fuel ratio (AFR). This eliminates the air valve vacuum being applied to the atmospheric port of the converter.
During acceleration (as the processor senses an increase in throttle position via the TPS), the fuel control valve will momentarily open to 60% duty cycle to further enrichen the mixtures. This is achieved via two conditions:
- Adding fuel into the air stream: and /or
- As the FCV opens to 60% duty cycle on acceleration, air valve vacuum is ‘bled off’ the top of the mixer diaphragm allowing the metering spring to push the air valve assembly down. This increases air speed below the air valve, increasing air valve vacuum (depression) thus drawing more fuel (vapour) from the converter.
The mixer and converter are now able to operate as they were originally designed to with out restriction.
To correctly set up the system a Fuel System Analyser (DP400) or multimeter with a duty cycle function should be used. The processor has rich and lean LEDs to assist with set up, however the duty cycle is critical to satisfactory operation.
START UP FIXED DUTY CYCLE:
When the engine is started the processor will hold the Fuel Control Valve (FCV) at a fixed duty cycle of 40 until an increase in voltage is sensed from the 02. This will stop ‘over fueling’ when the 02 is cold.
TPS ON AT IDLE AT IDLE:
The TPS on at idle feature (light on) changes the integration rate of the FCV at idle to reduce RPM ‘hunting’.
In addition the enrichment rate from is quicker with this feature enabled.
02 SENSOR MALFUNCTION FEATURE:
This feature will sense when the 02 sensor ceases to operate (fails to see the 02 sensor voltage change). The processor will revert to a default FCV duty cycle of 40 and the RED LED will flash.

Safety Switches, Fuel Pump Cutout, Relays & Interfaces
CP30 Safety Switch
Designed to ‘Prime’ the LPG System for 2.5 seconds on Power up. The safety switch then energizes the system continually when there is an active coil pulse/tacho signal, and will switch the supply off 2.5 seconds after the engine stops, whether via the key or in the case of an accident, thus providing a safer vehicle.
The safety switch incorporates a relay specifically suited to high current loads up to 10Amps e.g. multiple lock off’s.
Able to detect light engine pulses.
Moulded box designed for ease of mounting, neater appearance, terminals and circuitry is water resistant.
Offers many years of reliable operation, with many thousands still functioning in the field!
CP30 – Saleen Safety Switch
Offering the same features as the CP30 above this model has an OEM loom and plug fitted to plug directly into the existing wiring harness of the Supercharged Mustang Saleen Cars in the U.S.A.
CP16 Timed Relay operated power off circuit
Shuts down power when ignition is turned off and changeover switch on Gas, for approx. 20 seconds. (i.e. Resetting ECU only when on Gas)

This device is a basic petrol start unit providing enrichment for the engine enabling easier starting.
Petrol start time may be adjusted by trimpot, to petrol start from 0.2 secs, to 4.0 secs. The Yellow led indicates petrol start time for easy adjustment.
CP67 Petrol Start Assist
This device is designed to petrol start, indicated by yellow led, on initial crank to give instant petrol start when engine is cold. The CP67 incorporates several features to assist the installer
- CP67 incorporates 2 hour time delay circuit, i.e. Option for Petrol Start Only when Cold.
- CP67 petrol start time can be adjusted by trimpot from 0.2 secs to 4.0 secs.
- CP67 incorporates single relay to suit EFI vehicles for Injector Cut
Note: If multiple relays are required, e.g. EL Falcon & VN, VP, VR Commodore, INJ OUT position can be linked to petrol side of changeover switch to benefit from petrol start feature of CP67. Separate relays must be installed if this option is to be taken.
CP66 Petrol Start Assist
This device has the same operation as the CP99 providing enrichment for the engine enabling easier starting.

CP98 Petrol Start Assist (CP99 Plus Two Injector Cut Relays & Time Delay)
This device has the same operation as the CP99 providing enrichment for the engine enabling easier starting. Petrol start time may be adjusted by trimpot, to petrol start from 0.2 secs, to 4.0 secs. The Yellow led indicates petrol start time for easy adjustment.
It incorporates the same 2-hour delay feature of the CP67 (i.e. Option for Petrol Start Only when Cold.) & also incorporates two injector ‘cut’ relays to save using separate relays which also saves on extra wiring and installation time.
CP98 specifically suited for two-wire relay application, e.g. VN, VP & VR Commodore, EL – ER Falcon (earth wires)
Unit may also be used in single wire relay application by leaving INJ2 IN & INJ2 OUT terminals left open. In this circumstance the second set of relay terminals may be used for switching on or off other functions e.g. fuel pump on EFI vehicles (Relay terminal ratings <8A).
CP105 RPM Changeover Petrol Start
This device is designed solely to start on Petrol and change to LPG when RPM increases. The CP105 incorporates several features to assist the installer: –
Adjustment for RPM changeover approximately from 1,500rpm to 2,500rpm depending on the vehicle.
Adjustment for overlap between fuels approximately 0 – 3 secs.
Option of One or Two injector cut relays depending on type of vehicle.
Incorporates Safety Switch (CP30) which is designed to ‘Prime’ the LPG System for 2.5 seconds on Power up. CP256 Injector Emulator
The CP256 has been designed to emulate the fuel injectors pulse to the vehicles computer while running on LPG. Also incorporating a single ‘injector cut’ relay.
The CP256 is a universal unit that may be used on various vehicles, however the unit is mainly designed to work with late model Mitsubishi 4cyl. And 6cyl. (1999 – on).
The single ‘injector cut’ relay is used to cut into the power source wire for the injectors.
The CP256 will suit the following vehicles –

CP258 Injector Emulator
The CP258 has been designed to emulate the fuel injectors pulse to the vehicles computer while running on LPG, much like the CP256. Also incorporating a single ‘injector cut’ relay.
The CP258 is a universal unit that may be used on various vehicles, however the unit is mainly designed to work with the Mitsubishi V6 – Early-Mid 1990’s.
The single ‘injector cut’ relay is used to cut into the power source wire for the injectors.
CP250 (P) Emulator for Holden (Isuzu) Rodeo V6 3.2 Litre 1998 Onwards
This Emulator module enables the vehicle to run on L.P.GAS without the ECM light illuminating. I.e. Logging an injector code problem in the ECM. However, the ECM light will continue to function under normal operation of the vehicle.
The plugs attached to the CP250 (P) are plug & play directly into the factory ‘Packard’ plugs. The CP250 (P) incorporates six injector cut relays, eliminating the need for separate relays.
CP250 (P) – Gas Side H/UP
Incorporates the same features as Petrol Side CP250(P) and same hook up, however the loose Red wire is to be hooked up to the gas side of the changeover switch and the Black wire to earth.
CP260(P) – Suitable for Holden VZ-VE & Rodeo 3.6L Alloytech 2005on
CP70 Tacho Amplifier
The CP70 is designed to “Amplify” a frequency signal for tacho. ie. Converts a low voltage frequency (tacho) to a clean switching 0V Low – 12V High, from the frequency source. Please note this unit is dependent on speed of frequency.ie. Crank angle frequency may require divider instead of amplifier.
CP78-FPE Fuel Pressure Emulator
The CP78-FPE is designed to eliminate a Fuel Pressure ‘check engine’ light illuminating on the dash or the ECU calibrations drifting when running on LPG.
This unit is suited for the Holden VE Fuel Pressure Sensor fault code and may also be suitable for other vehicles.
There is a trimpot on the unit which can be adjusted to suit different Fuel Pressure Sensors.

The CP78-FPE-2 is designed to eliminate a Fuel Pressure ‘check engine’ light illuminating on the dash or the ECU calibrations drifting when running on LPG.
This unit is suited for the Holden VE Series 2 and on, Fuel Pressure Sensor fault code and may also be suitable for other vehicles.
CP-WFT Fuel Tank Water Tester
The CP-WFT is designed to indicate if there is water present in a fuel tank.
Requires a test probe/sensor with 2 prongs to be mounted in the tank or can be set up as a portable unit.
The unit will give visual indications (Safe, Warning & Water). The unit also has relay contacts and a High level output which can be used to trigger external alarms.
Diagnostic, Tuning & Testing Devices
DP200 O2 Meter – for ‘Narrow Band Sensors i.e. 0.2V-0.9V’
– Indicates the operating efficiency of the engine and the fuel processor
– Green indicator when in centre indicates a running state with the ideal
air fuel ratio (Lambda=1)
– Higher indicates a richer running condition. A lower indicator indicates a leaner running condition
DP400 Combination Duty Cycle Meter and 02 Sensor Meter
In Automotive and electronics, the duty cycle is the fraction of time that a system is in an “active” state. Duty cycle is the proportion of time during which a component, device, or in LPG application, the 3 way valve found on ‘Air Valve Systems’ is On. DP02 Tuning & Diagnostic Lambda Tool
The Peel DP02 is an extremely useful tuning and diagnostic tool. It utilizes the output from a high quality 4 wire (heated element) oxygen sensor mounted in a ‘sturdy’ exhaust mount to display a led graph of 10 x leds, in an attractive case, the exhaust gas content from an engine.
A 4 wire sensor is used because of its higher signal quality and stability, having both a heated element, for instant signal and a separate signal earth for stable output.
The Led graph shows a ‘Lean Out’ situation (far left of graph), ‘Rich’ (far right of graph) and ‘Lambda’ (centre of graph) on a graduating scale. Supplied complete with –

CP-INJ-D Peel Injector Driver
Suited for
Petrol, LPG and any type of Fuel Injector. To Clean or Test a vehicles Injectors
The Peel Injector Driver is a dedicated tool for testing and cleaning (with fluid bath, customer purchases) any type of Injector. ONE or TWO Injectors can be exercised at the same time. The unit does not overheat the Injectors and there are no operation time limits. The DC power supply must be able to supply unregulated 12Volts at 3-5amps. Max Load: 2 Injectors with 1 ohm Coils.
